The Hudson Development Corporation (HDC) is a private non-profit established in 1976 as a Local Development Corporation for the purposes of sustaining, promoting and enabling business investment and employment opportunities, as well as strengthening the City of Hudson’s tax base to help secure its future as a desirable place to live, work and invest.
Working with local, state and federal economic development partners the HDC will:
- Actively attract, support and further the interest of City-based businesses.
- Meet with business leaders in Hudson and surrounding communities to identify obstacles/opportunities for growth.
- Assist the planning, funding and development of sites, buildings, infrastructure, programs, and events to facilitate business development and expansion.
- Plan and implement programs to increase awareness of federal, state, and local business assistance programs.
- Plan and implement a marketing strategy for inside and outside Columbia County with the purpose of attracting new companies, people, and investment.
